My name is GWODOG Lydienne EKAM, born on April 13th, 1996, at Douala, Cameroonian of nationality. In 2014, upon completion at High School with the success at the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE ‘A’ Level), the highway for advanced studies stands at my disposal. Enrolled at the University of Yaounde II, as an English Law student, upon completion of my undergraduate studies, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business law and management (2014-2017).
With the purpose of understanding the international landscape and developing multilateral relations with the business world, the training at the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon whose teaching with renown university lecturers deepened my knowledge in private law so far as OHADA law and Intellectual Property Law are concerned. Caught up in the realm with intellectual property law, the decision is made to specialize in the field. Therefore, an admission is obtained to undergo the master’s Program of Intellectual Property, speciality of New Technology and Intellectual Property Law offered by the APIDE-WIPO and University of Yaounde II whose high level of training brings an added value to my professional career (2022-2023).
Following the vision of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA in his message directed for the youths on February 10th, 2018, which goes as follows “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country” my perspective is to become a reference point, a brand ambassador of intellectual property in Cameroon, Africa and across the globe. Working hand in hand with the partakers of the intellectual property family such as designers, inventors, craftsmen, trademark owners whose presence and significance is to lift up the banner of the label Made in Cameroon beyond the national territory, our expertise is made available for them through legal advice coupled with effective assistance pertaining the importance for protecting original works.
Beside all these, I have two (2) years of working experience at Cabinet Me Catherine Yvette NJINE TCHAKOUANI and Cabinet Me Dudieu Christian DJOMGA respectively.
Currently, I’m the head of the legal department at Rhemas Multi-Services.
